I want to share this awesome resource for potential bloggers!
My ISTE PLN, EdTech Coaches #ETCoaches is kicking off “Blogging Buddies.”
Instead of an event, such as a blogging challenge, this attempts to pre-connect bloggers in groups. Where a challenge might supply content prompts, this supplies context between blogs and accountability between bloggers for frequency of posts and comments. How interesting, right? Anything to get the posting and commenting more consistent is always the goal of these.
ISTE Ed Tech Coaches Blogging Buddies Site
I received my email May 1st and Michele Bond, JP Prezzavento, Tara Waudby, and Erin Gerdes are my Blogging Buddies! I am playing around with ways which will help me keep up with daily posts of my blogging buddies. I have not been faithfully checking my Feedly account lately, so I am open to ideas of following my other buddies daily. I am also considering a Twitter list. I will need you update this post on what eventually worked out the best. I have some reservations about how they may view my content. I am not strictly #edtech in all of my posts. But in my experience, teachers usually have more in common than not.
The guidelines far are:
- Blog at least once per month.
- Offer feedback in the form of blog comments to all others in your group on at least one of their posts per month
I hope to keep you updated and meet some new blogger buddies soon!

Hi Penny-
I’m so excited (#superexcited some might say) to be on the Blogging Buddies journey with you! I’m excited to connect, learn, and grow with you and the rest of our group.
I don’t think you have anything to be nervous about in regards to the content of your post. As educators, there are a wide variety of issues that impact us, our colleagues, and our learners every day and a great way to reflect on those issues is to blog about them. I’m excited to read your thoughts!
