Welcome to the 2019 #8weeksofsummer blog challenge! All educators are welcome to participate and reflect on their practice this #8weeksofsummer – a break for reflection and connection.
This blog post is on the same day as the #ISTE19 opening session. I value ISTE conferences as a unique experience, where #edtech leaders go to be #edtech followers.
How are you both a leader and a follower in your career?
The Prompt:
Leader & Follower
How are you both a leader and a follower in your career?
The Rules:
Have a Blog: You may blog on a traditional blog or use Facebook; any platform with an independent URL for each post.
Write & Include: (1) This at the start of your post: “This post is week 3 of 8 in the 8 Weeks of Summer Blog Challenge for educators.” and kindly link that sentence to https://wp.me/p4cW8a-2NY.
And (2) please use the hashtag #8weeksofsummer in social media shares of the post.
Comment on my Prompt: Post a link to your blog in the comments of each of the 8 blog prompts in a timely fashion (We are on vacation, and you may not even know which day it is, so let’s say within 3 weeks of the post).
This 2019 #8weeksofsummer blog challenge runs June 9 – July 28, 2019, and is for any educator. The challenge prompts educators with the opportunity of reflection. Each prompt asks them to blog about their reaction, thoughts, experiences with some facet of their professional practice.
Check HotLunchTray.com June 9th and every Sunday until July 28th for prompts.
Need to catch up?
Successful completion of all 8 weeks commenting/linking back/sharing via social media will result in one entry into the drawing for $100 USD Amazon Gift card one week after July 29th.

This was a tough one! I had to let this percolate for a few days before writing. At first I only saw myself as ONE of those options. Realizing this was a learning experience in and of itself. I’m loving the challenges of these posts. Thanks again.

Wow. This was such a difficult write for me to begin. I kept starting and stopping. Today I finally just wrote and I didn’t realize that this part of my educational story was ready to be told. But, I guess it is. This is my journey of understanding the impact of leadership.
