As you extricate yourself from school mode you may be talking to friends you have missed in the business of this past school year. Let’s examine how you collaborated with peers this past year. Welcome to Week 2 #8weeksofsummer Blog Challenge 2021.
Since the way we taught students was altered this year, you probably also changed how you communicated with your colleagues too. While you likely didn’t miss those meetings that had to be canceled, you may have discovered some other ways that you did like to communicate with your peers.
Share the idea of blogging with your colleagues as a way to process the full year of multiple formats. Take the ideas of the friends in this challenge and hopefully build a future teaching repertoire prepared for multiple formats!
The Prompt:
Describe your peer collaboration this year.
The Rules:
Have a Blog: You may blog on a traditional blog, podcast, or use Facebook; any platform with an independent URL for each post.
Write & Include:(1) This at the start of your post: “This post is week 2 of 8 in the #8WeeksofSummer Blog Challenge for educators.” and please link that sentence to https://www.hotlunchtray.com/week-2-8weeksofsummer-blog-challenge.
And (2) please use the hashtag #8weeksofsummer in social media shares of the post.
Comment on my Prompt: Post a link to your blog in the comments of each of HLT’s 8 blog prompts in a timely fashion (We are on vacation, and you may not even know which day it is, so let’s say within a couple weeks of posts 1-6).
This 2021 #8weeksofsummer blog challenge runs June 7 – July 31, 2020, and is for any educator. The challenge prompts educators with the opportunity of reflection. Each prompt asks them to blog about their reaction, thoughts, experiences with some facet of their professional practice.

Denise,
I love that so many of our colleagues are saying, “the more communication the better!” I am hopeful that all educators had that same experience and we can build up the same goal of fostering future constructive communication.

Robbie,
You always keep it real. We all need to hear that no one person was the hero, more like we were each other’s heroes this strange year. I love how you shout out to those that gave you ideas, just as I know you gave ideas to others!
