Welcome to the 2023 #8weeksofsummer blog challenge! The newest disruptive technologies are artificial intelligence in the form of large language models (LLMs) such as ChatGPT. This summer we dedicate our #8weeksofsummer blog challenge to encouraging bloggers and readers of blogs to explore what we know, want to know, and need to know about artificial intelligence in education.
2023 #8weeksofsummer blog challenge runs June 5 – July 30, 2023, and is for any educator. The challenge prompt for Week 1 is: Artificial Intelligence in the form of Large Language Models (LLMs) such as ChatGPT appears to trouble some educators or educational institutions. Share your perspective on the perceived threat. Reading and writing reflections on challenges in classroom practice is uniquely possible for educators in the summer months. Each prompt asks educators to blog about their reactions, thoughts, or experiences with some facet of their professional practice.

Share your perspective on the perceived threat from artificial intelligence, such as ChatGPT.
The Rules:
Have a Blog: You may blog on a traditional blog, podcast, or use Facebook/LinkedIn; any platform with an independent URL for each post.
Write & Include:(1) This at the start of your post: “This post is week 1 of 8 in the #8WeeksofSummer Blog Challenge for educators” and please link that sentence to https://www.hotlunchtray.com/join-the-2023-8weeksofsummer-blog-challenge.
And (2) please use the hashtag #8weeksofsummer in social media shares of the post.
