We aren’t fans of non-educators giving the seemingly obligatory line about summer …work…pay…yadda, yadda… and while we know it isn’t true, it still stings. We know that educators are always learning, thinking about how to better teach, and investigating new ways to reach students. This summer, consider joining the #8weeksofsummer blogging challenge and make your summer learning public!
The 2019 #8weeksofsummer blog challenge runs June 9 – July 28, 2019, and is for any educator. The challenge prompts educators with an opportunity for deep, written reflection. Each prompt asks them to blog about their reaction, thoughts, experiences with some facet of their professional practice.
Expect the first prompt to post on HotLunchTray June 9th,
but get an idea of the prompts from last year’s challenge.
Check HotLunchTray.com June 9th and every Sunday until July 28th for prompts. Any educator can participate in the 8 weeks of summer blog challenge by:
- Write a blog post for each weekly prompt at HotLunchTray.com
- Include the hashtag in your blog title, link to the weekly HotLunchTray post in each week’s blog, and use the #8weeksofsummer weekly image in your post.
- Comment on HotLunchTray’s weekly post with a link to your blog.
- Share your weekly blog posts on social media with the #8weeksofsummer hashtag.
Successful completion of all 8 weeks will result in one entry into the drawing for $100 USD Amazon Gift card after July 28th week.
