Welcome to the 2019 #8weeksofsummer blog challenge! All educators are welcome to participate and reflect on their practice this #8weeksofsummer – a break for reflection and connection.

Educators seem to charge hard toward their calendar breaks. Exposing students to content, experiences, and thinking which will serve them in their future studies.  In the process, educators exhaust themselves. The last weeks of a school year are often a sprint at the end of a marathon, and we collapse at the finish line.

Our breaks occur after we have worked hard to serve students, but how do we repair ourselves from our efforts? How do we refresh ourselves physically and mentally to do it all again?
Hopefully, the prompts of #8weeksofsummer parallel your recovery process and end up building you up to the next race which starts soon enough. But first, summer!
